Overview
Parallel Knowledge Processing (PKP) research described here covers topics addressed jointly with the Intelligent Systems Laboratory (ISL) and Combined Curriculum and Research Development (CRCD) in Machine Learning project, as well as research done independently in the Computer Architecture Lab (CAL). Recent joint projects with the CRCD project and ISL have focused on pipelining Fuzzy ARTMAP Neural Networks on distributed architectures including the correctness proofs, performance bounds, and experimental performance on two large datasets for the No-Match Tracking technique developed to balance computation and communication in Beowulf clusters. PKP Research within CAL has focused on and Characterizing Marker-Propagation Mechanisms, Performance Indices, Parallel AI Benchmarking, and Massively Parallel Speech Understanding.
